I feel like an idiot...but what is a 'sticky topic' ? (save your jokes, I already thought of them all anyway)

i know this one!

A sticky topic is one that is "pinned" to the top of its list. For instance, look at the Moon Services section. The topic "Schedule" is at the top of the list (yeah, it's a short list, but still -- !)  If you look at the two topics, you'll see that the Schedule is bolded, and at the far right of its name, there's an icon of a push-pin, which indicates that's it's "sticky."

And I'm sure that someone will jump in here and tell us if I'm wrong Smiley

I know I'm a luddite, and I WILL get used to this, but this new forum seems a lot more complex than the old one. Is it more complex, or is it just me?

Actually, I think this software is simpler to comprehend than the old Forum... it's just that, after years of struggling with the crotchety old software, we got used to it... the "features" that didn't work (truly, it's hard to miss reply-via-email when most of us weren't able to use it anyway!), the weirdo terminology, its tendency to wipe out random segments of words and replace them with ***...

I'm sure this package has its quirks too... but so far, it acts a lot more like other commercial software packages Smiley

Soooo...I just need to be reminded that I have spent a few years trying to hammer screws, and my Church has just given me a screwdriver? I think it will end up making more sense to me when there are more users. I guess it just looks pretty empty now. But I always thought that I was just too dumb to use the 'reply by email' feature. I am surprised.
