Samhain at Four Quarters
Fri Oct 29 - Sun Oct 31, 2010

Friday Night  About 8:30
At the pealing of the Church Bell, Opening ritual Etanna Eggun (A candle for the ancestors) with Pamela Alexander and Patricia Althouse

After ritual, drumming and bardic at the fire circle… come one, come all.

Saturday
11am-2pm Four Quarters Labyrinth Project with Carrie Krystek.
We have stones!!! We will be adding new stones to the labyrinth this year! Also some trimming and tidying to get the labyrinth ready for after ceremony meditation walks. Join us as the building and maintenance of the Labyrinth continues.

2-4pm Mad Hatting: Witch Hats with Rena Damsky. (At the coffee dragon pavilion)
Flash is the New Black! Come mere mortals and conjure the most spell binding Witches Hats this side of the Stones. Beautiful or beastly, glittered or gory you are sure to charm in these conical creations.

2-4pm Felting workshop with Diana Morris (Em) (At the coffee dragon pavilion)
Come learn the practical art of felting with em.  Experience the magic as you create an amazing, hand-made, warm hat from sheep's wool, soap & warm water, and fellowship.  All materials, including locally raised, beautifully dyed sheep's wool, provided.

3-4pm Moving Meditation workshop with Carrie Krystek (Location TBD)

4-4:30pm Kids Costuming and Pirate Treasure Hunt Trick or Treating.  With Captain Rose (Location TBD)

5:30pm Feast of the Dead-The Dumb Supper with Kitchen James and crew.
Join us in Silent reverence to the Ancestors as we share a meal at the Kitchen Pavilion. By remaining quiet, you will open your heart and mind to those who have crossed over. The scene will be set, the Ancestors will be called...will you hear them?

Immediately following the Feast, at the pealing of the Church Bell:

"Samhain Past, Samhain Present and Samhain Future"
Ceremony in the Stone Circle with Orren Whiddon and Pamela Alexander.

The Burial Crypt within the Stone Circle will be open and alight as is our Samhain Tradition at Four Quarters.
Please dress in anticipation of the chilly evening! Feel free to bring a chair if you are unable to stand comfortably.

Celebratory New Year Fire
Followed by a Community Fire Circle; drumming, dancing, singing, and storytelling. This is the heart of our community, with space for all.

Also Saturday night after Main Ritual

The Labyrinth will be open for unattended meditation walks.

Gnome and Faerie Trail
by Gnomeland residents, Crone Hill witches, a stray Refugee, and other wee folks of good intent (Will start 30 minutes after end of main ritual.  Open for 2 hours)

Looking for something different?  How about a stroll from Gnomeland to the Fairy Village.  This walk should be full of the magickal mystery and the weird and wyrd and silly and beautifully strange.  It will be populated with gnomes and fae and other sprights who might be just as inclined to give you a trick as a treat! Appropriate for kids who are old enough to enjoy the strange and unexpected in the dark, this will speak to the playful sprite in everyone regardless of age.

(If you would like transportation to the labyrinth and the gnome trail check in at the Coffee Dragon after ritual.)

Sunday
10am Breakfast with Kitchen James
At the Starvin’ Artist. Heavy on the caffeine!

Sorry, guys,

Change of plans. I will not be leaving for the Farm after class tonight, but I will get a fairly early start tomorrow.

See You On The Land!

Pam
