In the Spirit of the Season, I'm starting this thread as space for any who are interested to state things they are thankful for.

Feel free to add a post with as little or as much as you would like.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I am thankful for my family of love and blood; for dear and new friends.
For the greater Tribe who I see but perhaps don't know everyone's name.
For a place to celebrate my spirituality...or not...as I wish.
I am thankful to be employed, as I know it is a precious gift.
For my house, and finally a home.
I am thankful for all those who have given so that I may enjoy who and what I am now.
And for so much more than I can put into words...

On the lighter side, I am thankful for my furry babies and their companionship over the years. There are some days I feel closer to them then people!

And of course, I am thankful for hot water and chocolate...

Love and peace to all,
carrie

I am thankful that I can make cookies any time I want because I'm blessed enough to have enough money at the end of the day to buy flour and chocolate chips.

I am thankful for the friends I'd rather call family, and the family I'd rather call Tribe.

I am thankful for documentaries on the universe for reminding me how tiny I am, and for my Crew for reminding me how huge I can be.

This morning our 18, soon to be 19, year old Tortie sat on the floor, looked up at me and shakily meowed.  I lifted her onto the couch and she laid down on my lap and had a nap.  Not to be outdone, our black 1/2 persian, who just two years ago was feral and much thinner,  stretched out next to me.

This made me very happy and thankful that we can afford to have these loving creatures in our life. So, I thought that I would share my joy with you!  Smiley

Although it's too cold to enjoy right now...My Church, My Cathedral, That which we call Nature.
Although she cost me $125 vet bill to remove a bone from her bottom jaw...My Chocolate Lab "Mousse".
My "PALS"...true friends, the kind that would bail you out of jail at 3am (not that they have ever had to!)
Fruit and honey...Natures candy, sweet and juicy and good for the soul.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (AKA Yeast)...Combined with the fore mentioned fruit juices and honey.
My house plants...screaming "Hang in there, dude!"
The 1.9 million things I see every day that make me say "WOW"
