How to Host a Moon Service at Four Quarters

Em altar crop

Our Moon Service Circles are organized and led each month by invited guests or volunteers from our Membership. In taking responsibility for leading Circle they are able to grow in their own spirituality, and by inviting others to assist them, they make a place for those with less experience to grow as well.

We encourage you to consider bringing your spirituality to Four Quarters. All it takes is an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or to call 814-784-3080 and claim an open Moon Service date. The Moon Service schedule is here:

Moon Services are on Saturday evenings after the Church Supper that is also prepared by volunteers; sharing this Saturday dinner together is a part of our ongoing tradition. Usually the Supper is at 5 or 6:00pm, and the Moon Service is held an hour or so thereafter.

Many Moon Services follow a Wiccan framework, but we have hosted Fire Circles, Bardic Circles, Druid ceremonies, Friends Meetings, Asatru Sumbels and Native American Pipe Ceremonies as well, (just to name a few).

Some things to think about when undertaking a Moon Service:

The cycle of the seasons is turning. The days grow in length, and we see more light and sun. We think of Spring returning.

It's not just about the membership itself.  Our Members have the opportunity to take advantage of other benefits like tent permits, auto memberships, and low registrations to our events; you can get the jump start on planning your whole season now by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots.      Some find it easier to pay for their membership in installments. We can help you set up a payment plan. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for details.

We have a packed season in 2018 with lots of great events, both old beloved favorites as well as a new event or two. We also have weekends when you can just visit and have a quiet camp-out with friends, and enjoy the Land in all of its splendor.

Samhain Blessings and Thank You

Samhain Main ceremony 2017

Perhaps the finest Samhain weekend ever occurred the last weekend of
October. Despite some rain, much grand and powerful ceremony occurred across a
very thin veil between our world and the world of our Ancestors.

Together, we Danced in the Graveyards.

Missy "Hunybee" Ford, the Samhain lead organizer, has these words of Thanks:
"To all those who worked with me to pull this together, or had a hand in ceremony or
workshops, thank you. Without you it wouldn’t have been as magical as it was. You are
all amazingly talented, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you
over the last months.

To the attendees who braved the rain, and the cold, thank you for coming and
drumming, dancing and singing. It will be a long time before the post event glow fades.
As the days get shorter and the nights become long and cold remember J.O.Y!

Just Open Your: Heart. Love your people, your pets, our earth.
Just Open Your: Eyes. Look around. Pay attention. See life itself.

Just Open Your: Mind. Learn, Grow, Inspire others. Leave your own legacy.
Just Open Your: Self. Create, Explore, Experience all the joy that is out there.
